Frøya (or Freyja) is, in Norse mythology, the most important åsynjen (god, goddess). She is the goddess of love, fertility, death, and seid (magic and knowledge of life and death). Her father is the van (god) Njord, and sister of the goddess Frøy, who is also the goddess of fertility. Frøya is the most beautiful figure in the world of the gods, and even though there is a lot of quarrels and disagreements about who should get her hand, she ends up with the god Odin. When she is traveling, she drives a stroller that is pulled by two cats.
